How do groups? Ideas (from most to least complicated):

• {{groups.$sort-type.$num.$field}}
• {{$groupid.$field}}
• {{t:$groupid}}

Notes on the above: Second and third option interchangeable, first would be nice but could NOT be the only option and is begging for being on a GUI. Also the $ are just to designate which are placeholders

Format in general:

• {thing}
• {{thing}}
• {{g|m.id.field}} {{s.field}} {{this.field}} {{field}} (last one replacement for this.field)
• {t:groupid} {s:tag}

• Example 1: pk;m petal dnformat {{name}} | {{pronouns}} | {{system.tag}}
• Example 2: pk;m petal dnformat {name} | {pronouns} | {t:flwrs} {s:tag}

Would it replace dns? I (Petal) don’t think it should

Would it be compatible with custom fields? I hope so, it would be complicated but probably not much more complicated than integrating custom fields into other things.
